Garden State Pharmacy Owners, Inc.

GSPO is an association of independent pharmacy owners in the State of New Jersey,  founded in 1981 by 38 Independent Pharmacy Owners for the purpose of developing economic and political initiatives to assist community pharmacies in the State of New Jersey, to be more competitive and profitable in today's ever changing retail pharmacy marketplace.

In 1985, Garden State Pharmacy Owners, Inc., an organization of almost 1000 retail pharmacies located in New Jersey, formed CO-OP Power, Inc., a retail buying group.  CO-OP Power, in 1986, then formed Garden State Pharmacy Owners Providers Services Corporation, known as GS-POPS, a wholly owned sudsidiary established for the purpose of offering quality and affordable pharmaceutical benefit management, through a network of independent and chain pharmacies.   Using our experience and flexibility in the areas of pharmacy benefit management, claims processing and drug utilization review, we can customize our basic programs to fit the individual needs of our clients.  Additionally, our unique drug utilization review and program analysis procedures are designed to help clients in their cost containment efforts.
